Ingredients
- 600gr steak with marinade of soy sauce, rice wine vinegar and pepper, corn starch. oil for deep frying the meat.
- Beijing sauce;2 tbls each of oyster sauce, rice wine vinegar, ketchup and 1 tbls brown sugar
- i x onion, 1xred bell pepper and 4 cloves of garlic garlic
Method
- freeze meat for a while, makes it easier to slice nice and thin. make marinade and pour over thin slices. while the meat is in the marinade, make the Beijing sauce by combining oyster sauce, rice wine vinegar, ketchup and brown sugar. and set aside.
- pour corn starch over meat and massage it in trying not to miss any pieces. place each piece separately into hot oil and leave until well cooked. cook in batches and drain on paper towel. empty 3 quarters of oil out and leave small amount to stir fry onions, capsicums and garlic
- stir fry onions capsicum and garlic for 10 mins then pour in sauce, when bubbling add meat back to the pan and mix. pour over rice, garnish, and serve
