Ingredients
- Obento yaki nori for sushi
- Ground chicken 500g
- 1/2 buld onion
- 1 large egg
- 1 carrot
- 1 Tbs garlic powder
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Vegetable or canola oil
Method
- Cut up onion and carrots into cubes and use a food processor or knife to mince them. Mix well with ground chicken, garlic powder, egg, cornstarch, salt and pepper.
- Roll the mixture into 2.5cm thickness using the full lenght of a yaki nori sheet. Set aside and repeat the process using the rest of the yaki nori sheets.
- Using a sharp pair of kitchen scissors, cut up each roll into 3 smaller rolls. Heat up on high a frying pan half filled with cooking oil. Set heat to medium once ready. Then, drop in the chicken seaweed rolls in batches. Wait until they are golden brown. Rotate if necessary for an even cook. Let them rest, then serve on their own or with sweet chilli sauce as dip.
