Ingredients
- 2 cups plain flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 cup water
- 4 cups cabbage, finely shredded
- 1 carrot, finely grated
- Kewpie mayonnaise, to serve
- Okonmiyaki sauce, to servce
- Seaweed, to serve
- Sesame seeds, to serve
- Green onions, to servce
Method
- Combine cabbage and carrot with salt to flavour. In second bow combine garlic,and flour. In a separate bowl whisk eggs with iced water. Add egg mixture to flour, stirring to combine, then fold in cabbage and carrot.
- Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add 1/4 of the mixture to pan, forming roughly a 15cm panacke. Cook for 3-4 minutes each side, or until cooked through. Transfer to a plate and cover with foil to keep warm. Repeat with the remaining batter.
- Put Okonomiyaki pancakes on serving plates. Drizzle with mayonnaise, okonmiyaki sauce, and sprinkle seaweed, green onion and seasame seeds to serve. Enjoy!
