Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp Lard
- 1 Tsp Garlic, minced
- 5cm piece ginger, minced
- 1 Medium Carrot, julienned
- 1 Cup Fresh Okra, cut into rounds
- 1 Red Onion, sliced
- 500g Pork Mince
- 2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 Tbsp Cooking Sake
- 1 Tbsp Mirin Seasoning
Method
- Cook the Pork Mince: In a large frying pan or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of lard over medium-high heat. Add the pork mince to the pan and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks. Once browned, remove the pork mince from the pan and set aside.
- Prepare the Vegetables: In the same pan, add another tablespoon of lard if needed. Add the sliced onion, minced garlic, minced ginger, and julienned carrot to the pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables start to soften.
- Combine Pork and Vegetables: Return the cooked pork mince to the pan with the vegetables. Stir to combine and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
- Add Okra: Add the sliced okra to the pan and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the okra is tender-crisp and the pork is heated through.
- Season the Stir Fry: Pour in the soy sauce, sake, and mirin. Stir well to combine all the ingredients. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.
- Serve: Serve the pork and okra stir-fry hot over cooked rice.
- Enjoy your effortless and flavorful pork and okra stir-fry! Adjust the seasoning and ingredients according to your taste preferences.
