
Ingredients
- 1 kg. beef lengua boiled until tender and sliced1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cooking wine1/2 cup tomato sauce2 tbsp brown sugar3-4 tbsp Lee Kum Kee oyster sauce11-2 tbsp vinegar1 cup water
- 1 medium onion,minced3 cloves garlic crushed and minced5 pieces bay leaves1 small red bell pepper, diced3 pcs saba banana, sliced1 pc small sweet potato, diced
- salt and ground black pepper to taste 1/4 cup cooking oil
Method
- Heat oil in a pan, dredge the slice lengua in flour and then pan-fry in medium heat for about 1-2 minutes per side. Set aside.
- Add onion and garlic on the pot. Continue to cook until the onion gets tender. Pour the tomato sauce and cooking wine.Stir.
- Add the pan fried beef lengua. Stir-in oyster sauce and water. Let it boil.
- Add the bay leaves. Cover and cook in low heat until the sauce reduces to half.
- Add the vinegar and sugar. Allow the sauce to re-boil. Sprinkle some salt and ground black pepper to taste.
