Ingredients
- 2 tin spam
- 1 tbsp neutral oil
- 2 cups Sushi rice
- 1/4 cup low sodium soy sayxe
- 1/4 cup mirin rice wine
- 2 tbsp white sugar
- Kewpie Mayo (to top)
- Furikake Seasoning (topping)
Method
- Cook sushi rice according to packet directions
- To make sauce combine mirin, soy sauce and sugar.
- Cut spam into small cubes. In a frying pan, heat oil and fry spam cubes until crispy.
- Add soy sauce mixture to the spam, simmer on a low heat until it forms a sticky glaze.
- Once rice finished, add to baking dish, top with furikake seasoning. Then add finished spam and top with Kewpie Mayo and any other wanted seasoning. Optional: thinly sliced green onion. Pop under in oven hot grill setting until top crispy and warm.
