- Kecap Manis (Sweet Soy Sause)
- Line a large flat baking tray with baking paper. Spread Pepitas. Add Kecap Manis, not too much – the Pepitas should not swim in it – it is more like a glue that will bind the Pepitas together. Heat the oven to 180 deg C with the grill on. Place the baking tray on the highest rack. Roast the Pepitas – watch them constantly as they can burn in seconds. Should take around 8-10 minutes. Remove from oven and immediately form little heaps using two spoons. Be careful not to burn as the Kecap Manis will be very hot. If you are slow and the Kecap Manis gets too sticky, return the tray to the oven for a few seconds. Leave the snacks to set and then serve.
