Ingredients
- 2 cans tinned salmon
- 1 tbsp neutral oil
- 1 1/2 cups rice
- 3 tbsp Obento sushi seasoning
- 2 Obento Yaki Nori sheets
- 1/2 carrot, shredded
- 1/4 cucumber, sliced
- 1/4 capsicum, sliced
- 1/4 cup oak lettuce, chopped
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/4 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1/4 garlic
- 1 tsp cornflour
- 1 tsp water
- 1/4 avocado, sliced
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1/2 spring onion, sliced
Method
- Sprinkle sushi seasoning into rice and let sit. Meanwhile, heat oil in frying pan, then add both cans of salmon and fry on medium heart for 5 minutes or until crispy.
- Mix water and cornflour together until dissolved completely. Then add soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger and sesame oil to the mix.
- Take salmon off the heat. Add sauce and mix into salmon. Cover and let cool.
- Sprinkle water onto nori sheets and spread on the rice, making sure to spread to the edges. Add carrot, cucumber, capsicum, avocado and lettuce in the middle of the roll.
- Spoon salmon onto roll. Add mayo and spring onion.
- Carefully roll sushi with bamboo mat or hands. If nori doesn’t stick, sprinkle water onto nori.
- Carefully slice roll into pieces. Serve with soy sauce, ginger or wasabi!
