Ingredients
- 500 gms firm tofu
- 100 gms Brown Beech Mushroom or other fresh Mushroom
- 1/2 diced carrot
- 1/4 diced preserved radish
- 1/4 diced onion
- Shallots, coriander & toasted sesame seeds for garnish
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 tsp seasoned soya sauce Salt & pepper to taste
- 3 tablesp cooking oil
- 1 tsp cornflour 1 tablesp water
- Sauce1 cup water2 tsp seasoned soya sauce1/2 tsp sugar1 tsp cornflour
Method
- Removed Tofu from packet and place Tofu on paper towel to drain water.Cut a square in the middle of each Tofu & carved out Tofu 1 cm deep.Cut carved out Tofu in small pieces.
- FillingHeat 1 tablesp cooking oil in frying pan.Fry garlic till slightly brown.Add pieces of Tofu, diced mushroom, preserved radish, carrot & onion. Fry till cooked.Add seasoned soya sauce and salt n paper to taste.Thickened it with cornflour & water
- Stuff the filling back into the carved out Tofu. Heat 2 tablesp cooking oil & pan fry Tofu squares till slightly crispy.
- SauceAdd all ingredients & cook till slightly thickened.
- Pour sauce over crispy Tofu squares. Garnish with shallots, coriander & toasted sesame seedsEnjoy it with chilli sauce & boiled rice
