Ingredients
- 2 x rump medallions or eye fillet
- 1/2 onion, sliced thinly
- 1 tbsp cooking sake
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp sweet soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Sesame oil
- Sliced shallots for topping
- Cooked jasmine rice
Method
- Trim away any sinew from the beef, then slice the meat ribbon thin. Place strips in a large mixing bowl with sake, soy sauces, oyster sauce, sugar, garlic and pepper.
- Fry onion until soft and golden. Once golden place onto plate.
- Heat pan until very hot and flash fry beef in small batches until cooked and golden. Add to bowl of rice and top with shallots.
