- Bee Hoon Goreng (Fried Rice Vermicelli)Ingredients:250g dried bee hoon (rice vermicelli), soaked in water until soft, drained200g protein (chicken, prawns, or both - sliced thin)2 eggs, lightly beaten1 onion, sliced2 cloves garlic, minced1 red bell pepper, julienned1 carrot, julienned2 cups cabbage, shredded2-3 spring onions, choppedBean sprouts (optional)Sauce:2 tbsp dark soy sauce1 tbsp light soy sauce1 tbsp kecap manis (sweet soy sauce)1 tsp curry powder (optional, for color/flavor)1/2 tsp white pepper1/2 cup water or chicken stockMethod:Mix sauce ingredients togetherHeat oil in wok, scramble eggs, set asideStir-fry protein until cooked, set asideStir-fry garlic and onion until fragrantAdd vegetables, stir-fry 2-3 minutesAdd drained bee hoon and sauce mixtureToss everything together, add protein and egg backGarnish with spring onions
