
Ingredients
- 2 cups day-old rice
- 1/2 cup kimchi, cut into half-inch pieces (do not remove the juice)
- 1/2 cup frozen corn, carrots, and peas
- 1 tbsp ssamjang
- 1/2 tbsp gochujang
- 1/2 tbsp kecap manis
- 1/2 cup corned beef (or any available cooked meat)
- 1 tbsp sesame oil for sautéing1/2 tbsp sesame oil to add after cooking
- 2 large eggs, fried according to preference
- Salt and pepper (to taste, optional)
- 1 whole yellow onion, minced
- 5 cloves of garlic, minced
Method
- Preheat a large pan or wok to medium high heat, then sauté the onion and garlic in 1tbsp sesame oil for a minute.
- Add the corned beef and stir for another minute.
- Add the kimchi, ssamjang, gochujang, and kecap manis.
- Reduce the heat to medium while stirring vigorously to combine the ingredients well.
- When all the ingredients are well-combined, add the rice and mix together thoroughly.
- Turn off the heat and add the remaining sesame oil.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Transfer to a bowl and top with fried egg.
