Method
- Cook the riceRinse sushi rice until the water runs clear, then cook it. Mix with rice vinegar, sugar, and salt while it’s still warm. Let it cool.
- Prepare the fillingsSlice your ingredients into thin strips (fish, prawns, cucumber, avocado, chicken, etc.).
- Set up the rollPlace a sheet of nori on a bamboo mat. Spread a thin, even layer of rice over the nori (leave about 2 cm at the top).
- Add fillings & rollPut fillings in a line across the rice. Roll tightly using the mat, pressing gently to shape.
- Cut & serveSlice the roll with a sharp, wet knife. Serve with soy sauce, wasabi, and pickled ginger.
