Salmon avocado and cucumber roll

Ingredients
- • 2 cups cooked Japanese short-grain rice • 2 tbsp rice vinegar • 1 tbsp sugar • ½ tsp salt
- Cucumber – thin strips • Avocado – sliced • Cooked chicken or tuna • Smoked salmon • Crab stick • Carrot – julienned • Japanese mayo (optional)
- 4 sheets nori seaweed • Soy sauce for dipping • Pickled ginger & wasabi (optional) • Bamboo sushi mat

Method
- 1. Prepare the rice 1. Mix rice vinegar + sugar + salt until dissolved. 2. Gently fold into warm cooked rice. 3. Let rice cool to room temperature (don’t put in fridge).
- 2. Set up the roll 1. Place a nori sheet shiny side down on the bamboo mat. 2. Wet your hands (so rice doesn’t stick). 3. Spread a thin layer of rice over ¾ of the nori.
- 3. Add fillings • Place your fillings in a line across the riceExample combo:👉 avocado + cucumber + chicken👉 tuna + mayo + cucumber👉 salmon + avocado
- 4. Roll it 1. Lift the mat and roll firmly away from you. 2. Squeeze gently to shape. 3. Seal the edge with a little water.
- 5. Cut • Use a sharp knife, wipe blade with wet cloth between cuts. • Cut into 6–8 pieces.
