- Rinse the sushi in cold water, then cook it in salted water, ideally in a rice cooker. When cooked, spread it out onto a wooden board and fan it so it cools quickly. Season generously with Obento sushi seasoning. Leave to cool completely. Roll out a bamboo sushi mat and place a sheet of Obento Yaki Nori sushi paper on it. Cover the bottom third of the paper in cooled sushi rice, flattening so it is in a thin layer. Put a line of carrot and cucumber half way along the rice and roll using the mat, giving the roll a squeeze on the first turn, then roll up into the rest of the paper. Dampen your finger and run along the edge of the paper so it sticks to itself.Slice the sushi roll and lay the pieces on a plate. Drizzle with Kewpie mayonnaise and serve with soy sauce. Enjoy!
