Ingredients
- 350g firm tofu
- 2 tbs soy sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 -2 tsp gochugaru
- 2 tbs cooking oil
- 2 spring onions
- Dash Sesame oil
- 1/4 cup dashi or water
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
Method
- Start by propping ingredients, cutting tofu into flat cubes.Mince the garlic.Slice the spring onions.Make the dashi.
- Add tofu to a pan with cooking oil on medium heat. Do not turn for at least 10 minutes but keep an eye that it doesn't burn. Flip the tofu once it's brown and crispy on one side.
- Once both sides of the tofu are nicely crisped add in the garlic and sugar allow both ingredients to cook for 1-2 minutes. Add in dashi, gochugaru and soy sauce bring to a simmer.
- Add in spring onion,sesame seeds and sesame oil. And allow sauce to reduce.
- Now ready to serve! I served with rice, Obap kimchi and cucumber salad made with lee kum kee soy sauce.
