
Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken breast or thighs (cut into thin strips or chunks)
- ABC Sweet Soy Sauce Kecap Manis
- 1 tbsp honey or brown sugar
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp grated ginger
- 1 tbsp curry powder
- 1/2 tsp ground turmeric
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp lime juice
Method
- In a bowl, mix together ABC Sweet Soy Sauce Kecap Manis, lime juice, honey (or brown sugar), minced garlic, grated ginger, curry powder, turmeric, peanut butter, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Add the chicken (cut into thin strips or chunks) to the marinade, tossing to coat evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors infuse. For best results, marinate for 2-4 hours.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the peanut butter, soy sauce, lime juice, brown sugar (or honey), sesame oil, grated ginger, and minced garlic. Stir to combine.
- Cook for about 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce is smooth and heated through.
- Taste the sauce and adjust the sweetness by adding honey.Once ready, remove from heat and set aside.
- Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto wooden.
- Grill the chicken skewers for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until they are fully cooked and slightly charred.
- Arrange the grilled chicken skewers on a plate with the peanut sauce as a dip.
