Ingredients
- 1 cooked mud crab
- 1 cup small grain rice (Obento Sushi or Jasmin)
- 1/2 cup Wakame Seasoned Seaweed (Chuka Wakame)
- 8 pieces Obento Pickled Ginger coarsely chopped
- 1 or 2 red chillies finely chopped.
- 2 teaspoons Obento Mirin
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon Obento Sushi Seasoning
- 2 tablespoons Obento Sushi & Sashimi Soy Sauce for dipping
- 1 tablespoon ABC Sweet Soy Sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon S&B Wasabi
Method
- Prepare the crab by cleaning and then picking free the meat. Reserve the shell and large claws.
- To make the sauce combine the Mirin, salt, chopped chilli and the pickled ginger. Fold the sauce through the picked crab meat.
- Cook the rice and while still warm fold the sushi seasoning into the rice. Allow to cool or serve warm.
- For the dipping sauces:1 Combine the sweet soy sauce and the wasabi in a small dipping bowl2 Serve the Sushi & Sashimi soy sauce in a second dipping bowl.
- To serve, arrange the rice and crab meat on a medium platter then place the crab shell and claws for presentation. Add the Wakame seasoned seaweed and the two dipping bowls.
- This dish can be served cold or warmed. Bon Apetit.
