Ingredients
- 5 tbs vegetable oil
- 2 lightly beaten eggs
- 3 tablespoon cornflour
- 10 tablespoon plain flour
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt, pepper, garlic salt,
- 2 tablespoon paprika
- 3 chicken breasts cut in bite size pieces
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 garlic cloves cut in small pieces
- 2 tablespoon honey
- 2 tablespoon sweet chilli sauce
- 3 tablespoons of tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
- 4 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons of rice wine vinegar
Method
- Place beaten egg in a bowl and cornflour in another bowl.I’m a third bowl, add flour, salt, pepper,paprika and mix together.
- Put bite size chicken pieces in egg, then corn flour and finally in the seasoned flour. Do this with all chicken pieces.
- Heat the 5 tablespoons of oil and fry the chicken pieces. Do this in different batches until all chicken is cooked.
- Add all of sauce ingredients to a hot wok. ( sesame oil, garlic cloves, rice wine vinegar, honey, sweet chilli sauce, tomato sauce, brown sugar, soy sauce). Stir and wait for the sauce to bubble and reduce. Add the fried chicken to the sauce and coat it.
- Turn off heat. Separate into four bowls. Sprinkle sesame seeds and spring onion on the chicken. (Can be served with boiled rice).
