Ingredients
- 500g firm tofu
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1cm ginger
- 1 pear grated
- 4 spring onions
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp gochujang paste
- 2 tbsp oil
- Black sesame seeds to garnish
Method
- Chop the spring onion. Add half to a large mixing bowl, keep half aside to garnish.
- Add to the large mixing bowl the soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, grated pear, sesame oil and gochujang paste. Mix well.
- Heat a frypan with the oil and fry the tofu.
- Remove fried tofu to a plate and add the sauce to the frypan. Fry for 1 minute. Add 1/2 cup of water and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add tofu back to the frypan with the sauce and simmer for another 5 minutes until the sauce develops a slight glaze.
- Take off the heat and add spring onion and sesame seeds to garnish.
