Ingredients
- 2 cups sushi rice
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/2 cup Furikake Japanese rice seasoning
- 1/2 cup seasoned seaweed with green tea
- Tuna Filling
- 150 gms canned tuna ( drained )
- 30 gms / 2 tablespoons Japanese Kewpie Mayonnaise
- Salt & pepper to taste
Method
- Cook sushi rice as per instructions. Cook 2 cups rice in 3 cups water in electric rice cooker
- Prepare Tuna Filling
- Mix all ingredients and set aside
- Season the cooked rice when slightly cool with sesame oil
- Put on plastic gloves, shape 2 tablespoons of rice into a ball.
- Flatten the rice ball in palm of your hand, place 2 tsp of tuna filling in the centre.
- Wrap the rice around the filling & shape it into a ball.
- Place Furikake & seasoned seaweed with green tea in bowls. Roll each rice ball in it.
- Serve at room temperature. It's versatile, can be made with a variety of fillings. It's delicious & super easy & quick to make. Enjoy it as a snack or as a meal.
