Ingredients
- 8 Jade Tiger abalone frozen 500g pack
- 1 tbsp LKK premium oyster sauce
- 1 tsp Sambal powder
- Kumquat for garnish
Method
- Prepare the Abalone: Clean the abalone thoroughly with a brush. Carefully remove from shell. (Optional) Remove organs from abalone meat. Slice horizontally into thin 2mm slices and present in cleaned shell.
- To make the sauce: Whisk together 1 tbsp of oyster sauce with 1 tsp sambal powder. Adjust to taste for spice preference.
- To enjoy 2 ways: Jade tiger abalone is sashimi grade and can be enjoyed immediately with the sauce on top or as a dipping sauce on the side. This can also be enjoyed steamed 5-15 minutes with the sauce for a different texture and experience.
