Ingredients
- Obento cooking sake 1 tbsp
- 1 tbsp salt
- 4 pcs skinless salmon fillets
- 5 tbsp Obento Mirin seasoning
- 5 tbsp Obento Sushi and Sashimi Soy Sauce
- 40g Brown sugar
- A few pieces of Pickled ginger for decoration
- Bowl of Steamed rice to accompany dish
- Store bought mixed green salad
- Nori furikake seasoning
Method
- Rub 1 tablespoon of salt onto 4 pcs of skinless salmon fillets and stand for15mins. Pour 1 tablespoon of Sake to rinse away the salt.
- Mix Mirin seasoning, Sushi and sashimi soy sauce and brown sugar together.
- Place salmon fillets in ziplock bag and pour marinade over. Seal bag and marinate for 60mins.
- Sear the marinated salmon fillets on medium heat for a few mins on both sides.
- Pour the marinade sauce over and let the salmon cook for another 2 mins. Once the sauce starts to thicken, remove the salmon.
- Serve the salmon with pickled ginger, steamed rice, and salad. Garnish with a light sprinkle of Nori Furikake on rice and salmon. Enjoy.
