Ingredients
- 1 TBS Chinese 5 spice
- 1 TBS Sesame oil
- 1 packet hakubaku organic ramen
- 1 TSP Squid brand fish oil
- 1 TSP crushes garlic
- 1 TSP minced ginger
- 2 TBS Oyster sauce
- 2 TBS Soy sauce
- 2 TBS Hoisin sauce
- 1 TBS Chicken stock powder
- 1/3 Cup ramen water
- 500g pork belly slices
- 1 TSP olive oil
- 1/4 cup boiling water
- 1 head of bokchoy
Method
- Remove pork rind and chop slices into bite sized pieces
- In a medium pan, heat up oil
- Add pork belly and fry off until browned. Can be seasoned with salt and pepper optional. Once browned add in garlic and ginger and fry off for a minute or so
- While pork is cooking, prepare ramen as per packet instructions
- Mix together hoisin, soy, fish sauce, sesame oil, Chinese 5 spice. Stir together stock powder with boiling water and add to the mix.
- Pour sauce mixture into the pan with the pork belly.
- Let simmer for a few minutes until pork belly is cooked through
- Finely chop your bokchoy and then stir through your pork mixture.
- Take 1/3 of a cup of ramen water and stir-through pork mix.
- Drain your ramen and run under cold water
- Once slightly cooled, add to pork mix and stir through so all combined.
- You are ready to serve! Enjoy
