Ingredients
- 100g soak long grain rice
- 1/2 lap cheong
- 10 slices of lap yuk
- 200g pork rib
- 1/2 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 Tbsp Oyster sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp Corn Starch
- 1/2 Tbsp black bean
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 tbsp cooking wine
- Oil
- Vegetable of choice (choy sum, bok choy)
- Sauce 1tbsp soy sauce 1/2 tbsp dark soy sauce 1/2 tbsp oyster sauce Dash of white pepper 1 tsp of sugar
Method
- Marinate pork rib with soya sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, salt, sugar, minced garlic, cooking wine and put into fridge while preparing other ingredients
- Soak rice in water for at least 1 hour
- Slice lap cheong and lap yuk
- Wash vegetables
- Drain and wash rice throughly
- In a clay pot, heat up with some oil and add rice and 100g of water and cover lid until boil for 2 minutes
- Once boiled for 2 mins, remove from stove and poke some holes into rice with chopstick.
- Place marinated pork rib, lap cheong and lap yuk on top of the bed of rice in the pot.
- Return to stove and lower heat to middle and cover with lid. Pour some oil around the sealed lid. Simmer for 8-10 mins
- Add vegetable of sauce and simmer for another 2-5 mins or until done.
- While waiting, combine ingredients sauce.
- Remove pot from heat and pour in sauce and mix and enjoy!
