Ingredients
- 500g pork mince
- 500g beef mince
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 4 x garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 tbsp ginger (minced)
- 1/3 cup Thai chili sauce
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tsp ground chili
- 3 tsp Chinese 5 spice
- 1/3 cup green onion (chopped)
- 1 cup coriander (chopped)
- 1 punnet Thai basil (chopped)
- 4 x cucumbers (thinly sliced)
- 1/3 cup peanuts (chopped)
- 6 x wraps
- 1 x lime (zest and juice)
- 1 x white onion (diced)
- 1/2 tsp Black pepper
- 3 x red chili (sliced)(optional)
- Chili sauce (for dipping)
Method
- Prep your ingredients: Dice your onion; mince the ginger and garlic; chop the green onion, coriander, basil and cucumber; and set aside.
- Heat a pan to medium-high heat. Once hot, add the white onion and sear. Once the onion has browned (4 mins), add the ginger, garlic, Chinese 5 spice, ground chili, and pepper, and cook for 1 minute further.
- Add the pork and beef mince, and cook until browned (5 minutes).
- Once the mince has browned, add the soy sauce, honey, Thai chili sauce, dark soy, lime zest and juice. Cook for a further 4 minutes until well mixed. Remove from heat.
- Heat your wraps in the microwave or a pan. Once warmed, start assembling the wraps with the mince, cucumber, basil, coriander, peanuts and sliced chili (optional).
- Serve warm and use dipping sauces of your choice. I recommend chili sauce for a nice warm kick!
