Ingredients
- 1.5 L (6 cups of water)
- 100 mL sesame oil
- 200 mL soy sauce
- 16 tbsp brown sugar
- 5 packs (500 g) of Obap sweet potato noodles
- 3 medium carrots
- 2 bulbs of green onions
- Sesame seeds
- 3 eggs (optional)
- 500 g thin beef slices
- Salt and pepper
Method
- 1. Prepare Ingredients: • Cut 3 medium carrots into batonnet. • Chop 2 bulbs of green onions. • Toast sesame seeds in a pan until slightly brown. • (Optional) Cook 3 eggs into an omelette in the same pan. Set aside to cool before cutting into strips for toppings. • In the same pan, cook 500g of thin beef slices. Season with salt and pepper.
- 2. Combine Sauce: • In a pot, combine 1.5L water, 100 mL sesame oil, 200 mL soy sauce, and 16 tablespoons brown sugar. • Bring to a boil.
- 3. Cook Noodles and Vegetables: • Once boiling, add 5 packs (500g) of Obap sweet potato noodles. • After 5 minutes, add cut carrots and some sliced green onions. • Continue cooking for an additional 3-5 minutes until noodles are al dente.
- 4. Absorb Liquid: • There might be liquid remaining; no need to drain. Let noodles absorb the liquid.
- 5. Final Assembly: • Mix the cooked beef into the noodles. • Top with sliced eggs, toasted sesame seeds, and the remaining green onions.
