
Ingredients
- 1 whole head Lettuce (I used iceberg)
- 1 tbsp neutral oil
- 1 tbsp finely chopped ginger
- 1 tbsp finely chopped garlic
- 2 spring onions
- Half 1 white onion, diced
- 1 can Valcom water chestnuts
- 500g mince of your choice (I used chicken), or tofu
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp fish sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 large carrot, finely diced
- 1/2 cup of corn
- 1 tsp cornstarch
Method
- 1. Add oil, ginger, garlic and onion to a wok and cooked for a minute or so until it becomes fragrant.
- 2. Add mince, cook until it's about 3/4 cooked.
- 3. Add carrots and Volcom water chestnuts, cook for a few minutes, stiring during, ensuring mince is cooked too.
- 4. Mix sauce: soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, cornstarch and sesame oil in separate bowl.
- 5. Add corn and sauce, for a further couple of minute.
- 6. Break large leaves off lettuce for serving to use as wraps to eat the mince with.
