
Ingredients
- 500gms beef mince
- 3 tablespoons olive oil for mince and veg3 tablespoons for cabbage
- 2 x Garlic cloves
- 1 x large onion finely diced
- 2 x large carrots finely diced
- 1/2 Savoy Cabbage (washed and shredded)
- I x cup baby peas
- 1 x cup cooked long grain rice (cooked)
- 1 x chicken stock cube
- 1 x teaspoon curry powder
- 4 x tablespoons Lee Kum Kee Oyster sayce
- 2 x tablespoons of premium Lee Kum Kee dark soy sauce
Method
- In a large frying pan, heat oil and cook beef mince with a pinch of salt and pepper until browned. Place in a separate bowl.Then cook the carrots, garlic, onion and celery until semi soft. Return beef mince into the pot and add frozen peas, cook for 5 mins.
- Then add Oyster sauce, soy sauce and curry powder to mixture.In a separate pan, using remaining olive oil, add the shredded cabbage, a small non or butter and one tablespoon of soy sauce. Cook until soft.
- Add this mixture to the mince beef pan and heat while gently stirring.
- Cook a small amount of long grain rice in the microwave and once cooked, gently stir into the mince mixture.
- You can adjust sauces, condiments for your own individual tastes.Everyone in our family loves this dish!It’s easy peasy to prepare and the plates are always empty. I often drizzle Kewpie mayonnaise on the top as the kids love that.
