Ingredients
- 500g rump steak (diced)
- 6 tbsp sapporo beer
- 2 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1 bulb garlic (minced/chopped finely)
- 1 box S&B Japanese curry mix
- 6 small potato (diced)
- 4 carrrots (sliced diagnol 1cm thick)
- Salt and pepper to season beef
- 600ml water
- Olive oil for searing
- 2 cups of rice
Method
- Cut fat from beef and fry in pan to render out flavour of beef, throw out fat and keep oils
- Add beef to beer and soy to marinate
- Add garlic and beef to oil on med heat until brown
- Add carrot and potato to pot cook for 5 min then add water and bring to boil
- Lower heat and curry mix stir until mixed well, cook rice in rice cooker or as per packet
- Cook and med heat for approx 30mins or until carrot have softened
