Ingredients
- 2.4kg beef ribs
- 2tbs canola oil
- 2tbs minced garlic
- 1 cup gochujang
- 3/4 cup mirin
- 3/4 cup rice vinegar
- 3tbs light soy sauce
- 1/3 cup white sugar
- 3/4 cup ketchup
- 1 1/2 cups water
Method
- Mix all ingredients (except beef ribs) in a bowl, add to a roasting tray. Add beef ribs, turn to coat in the sauce then position meat-side down in the sauce. Cover tightly with foil.
- Bake for 4 hours in an oven at 150 degrees fan-forced. Remove foil and cook for 30 mins uncovered. Turn ribs over so meat is facing up, spoon sauce over the ribs and cook for a further 30 mins until surface is caramelised.
- Skim off any excess fat from the sauce in the tray and mix until smooth.
- Transfer ribs to serving tray and pour sauce over. Sprinkle with sliced green onions. Serve with steamed white rice.
