Ingredients
- 1 kg pork ribs
- For marinade:
- 1 carrot
- 1 apple
- ½ onion
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 4 tablespoon of lee kum kee char siu sauce
- ½ tablespoon of dried rosemary
- ½ or 1 tablespoon of chilli powder
- 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons of salt
- 1 teaspoons of black pepper
- Coating sauce:
- 1 tablespoon of lee kum kee char siu sauce
- ½ tablespoon of lee kum kee hoisin sauce
- ½ tablespoon of honey
Method
- Use a blender to puree the apple, carrot, onion and garlic with ¼ cup of water, then add the remaining marinade ingredients and mix well.
- Apply the prepared marinade evenly to the pork ribs, cover with plastic wrap and marinate in the refrigerator for about 2-12 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 110 degrees Celsius, place the pork ribs on a baking sheet, cover with foil and bake for 1 and a half hours.
- Mix the coating sauce ingredients in a bowl, then adjust the oven temperature to 230 degrees Celsius, remove the foil from the pork ribs, then evenly brush the sauce with it, and bake for another 10-20 minutes until the surface is golden brown.
