Ingredients
- ======MEAT INGREDIENTS ========== 2 Tablespoon of garlic olive oil (I used Cobram Estate Garlic Infused Australian Extra Virgin Olive Oil)
- 500 g Minced beef
- 2 cup broccoli cut into small florets (around 80g)
- 1 birdseye chilli sliced
- ½ teaspoon chilli flakes
- 2 spring onions sliced finely diagonally
- ===SAUCE INGREDIENTS===
- 2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Obento Mirin seasoning
- 4 tbsp Sriracha
- 2 tbsp Honey
- ==SUGGESTED GARNISH AND SIDE INGREDIENTS==
- Sesame seeds
- 1 Cayenne chilli sliced
- A small handful of sliced spring onion (kept aside from above ingredients)
- ==SERVE WITH==
- - Kewpie Mayo
- - Finely sliced radish
- - pre-packed finely sliced coleslaw mix
- - Diced cucumber
- - Extra Sriracha (for the bold)
- 1 packet of precooked white rice 450g (Good for when you are in a hurry!!!!)
Method
- Have mince in the fridge? Don’t do that spaghetti bolognese (again) go asian!! I make this weekly!
- ==SAUCE METHOD==
- Mix all sauce ingredients in a small bow and pop aside
- ==BEEF COOKING METHOD==
- Heat oil in non-stick pan or Wok on high heat
- Add beef and cook, breaking it up as you stir
- Cook until you can’t see any more raw meat normally around 4-5 min
- Add chilli and broccoli and stir fry for a minute
- Add sauce, allow to bubble then stir constantly
- Cook for about 5 minutes until caramelised and sauce is reduced.
- Add a handful of spring onions and stir for a minute (keep a little to garnish each bowl)
- Add Tbsp of water to the mix just before serving to make a little saucier.
- Add rice to a bowl, top with meat mixture.
- Add suggested garnish ingredients (radish, spring onions, sesame seeds, cucumber and coleslaw mix) to the top of the bowl.
- Pop some Kewpie Mayo on the side.If you like it hot add drizzle of extra sriracha to the top!!
- Brilliant spicy mid week meal!
