Ingredients
- Olive Oil Spray
- 4 Eggs
- 3 tsp Lee Kum Kee Soy Sauce
- 3 tsp Obento Mirin Seasoning
- Pinch of Sugar
- Pinch of Salt
- 1 tbs Water (for a fluffier omelette)
Method
- Thoroughly whisk together all ingredients
- Heat a Tamagoyaki pan or small non stick fry pan over medium heat, lightly spray with olive oil
- Once heated, pour 1/4 of egg mixture and swirl around until coated. Reduce heat to low and cook until approximately 85% done, you need the egg to be shiny but with minimal movement
- Once done, carefully roll with the help of a spatula and or chopsticks then push to other side of pan
- Lightly spray again with olive oil, pour another 1/4 mix ensuring some of the egg mixture reaches underneath the first roll. Cook, roll and repeat until all mixture used. The residual heat will cook all the egg
- This recipe is for a traditional plain omelette, I've added a few additions that I think pair really well below. Healthy and perfect for children's lunch boxes, platters or for your lunch... ENJOY
- 1. Add Obento Yaki Nori sheets between each roll 2. Lightly sauté finely chopped 1/2 small onion with spinach leaves, combine with feta cheese 3. Add cheese and tomato 4. Chopped mushroom, capsicum and spring onion 5. Be creative, use up any left over vegetables, I think anything will work nicely, I really hope you try them :)
