Ingredients
- 500g thinly sliced lean beef fillet (rump or serloin a good cut)
- 1/4 cup Obento teriyaki sauce
- 1/4 cup light soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 2 tablespoons Brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 teaspoon minced ginger
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1 onion thinly sliced
- 1 capsicum thinly sliced
- 1 carrot thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 cucumber thinly sliced
- Sesame seeds to garnish
- 1 packet Hakubaku soda noodles
- 1 teaspoon mirin or cooking rice wine
- 2 tablespoons cornflour mixed in 1/4 water to make a slushy.
Method
- Thinly sliced the beef. It is recommended that you cut meat when it is semi frozen to achieve thin slices.
- Mix together the teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, honey, garlic, ginger, mirin or cooking wine, seasme oil and salt abd pepper. Marinate the beef in this mix.
- Chop the veggies
- Heat olive oil in pan or wok. Quickly fry the onions and then add veggies for a couple of minutes
- Add the beef and stir fry. Only a couple of minutes needed to ensure beef is not overcooked and stays nice and tender.
- Add the cornflour slushy to thicken sauce.
- Take off the heat.
- Cook soda noodles per packet. Then drain and rinse with cold water twice. Whilst rinsing add the cucumber.
- Place noodles in a bowl and serve stirfry on top. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
