Ingredients
- 2 chopped garlic cloves
- 1 Brown onion chopped
- 2 large handfuls of bean sprouts
- Half a bag of stir fry mix (rainbow vegetables was used here)
- 4 finely chopped mushrooms
- Angel hair pasta (one packet) - the one which cooks in 2 minutes San Remo
- Obento Teriyaki marinade
- 600g chicken thigh fillet meat (no bones)
Method
- Chop the chicken into cube sized pieces. Place into a large bowl with Obento marinade sauce. I used half a bottle. Put in the fridge for about 10 minutes. While waiting, fill up the kitchen kettle for pasta water.
- Heat some oil in the frying pan. Combine the onion, garlic and mushroom ingredients, and make sure the onions and mushrooms have browned. Boil the kettle for the pasta water.
- Take the chicken from the fridge and put chicken in the frying pan. Add the stir fry mix and bean sprouts next. Keep frying pan on a high temperature and make sure the chicken is cooked through. Kettle has boiled! Put boiled water into pot and cook the angel hair pasta.
- One the pasta has cooked, drain and add the pasta to the frying pan. Drizzle more Obento Teriyaki marinade over the pasta in the frying pan. To ensure the marinade isn't too overpowering, just gradually keep adding more marinade for your taste/preference.
- Mix all of the ingredients quite vigorously to make sure everything is combined well. Then transfer those delicious Teriyaki chicken noodles to some empty bowls. Enjoy! *Fun fact, I actually bought this bowl specifically for this dish comp today! It is a little steep/deep bowl and I think it's perfect for a portion of these noodles. Such a yummy dinner at home tonight.
