- Paneer , veggies, Abc sauce, ketchup and mayonnaise
- 4 tablespoons of ghee
- Momos dough
Method
- For the dough:1 cup all-purpose flour (maida)2 tbsp oilA pinch of saltWater (as needed, to form a smooth dough)
- For the filling:1 cup paneer (grated or crumbled)1 small onion (finely chopped)1-2 green chilies (finely chopped)1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste1/2 cup cabbage (finely chopped)1/4 cup carrot (grated)1/4 tsp turmeric powder1/2 tsp garam masalaSalt to taste1 tbsp soy sauce (optional)1 tsp oil for cooking
- Prepare the dough: In a bowl, mix the flour, salt, and oil. Gradually add water to form a smooth, elastic dough. Cover it with a damp cloth and let it rest for 20-30 minutes.For the filling:Prepare the filling:Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.Add chopped onions, green chilies, and ginger-garlic paste. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until the onions are soft.Add grated cabbage and carrot, and cook for another 3-4 minutes until they soften.Add the crumbled paneer, turmeric, garam masala, soy sauce (if using), and salt. Stir well and cook for 2-3 minutes, ensuring everything is well combined. Let the filling cool down.Shaping the momos:Roll the dough: Divide the dough into small balls and roll each one into a thin circle (about 3-4 inches in diameter).Fill the dough: Place a spoonful of the paneer filling in the center of each circle.Shape the momos: Gently fold the edges of the dough over the filling, pleating them to form a pouch. Pinch the top to seal the momo.Steaming the momos:Steam the momos: Grease a steamer basket or a plate. Arrange the momos in the basket, ensuring they don’t touch each other. Steam for 10-12 minutes until the dough becomes shiny and cooked through.
