Ingredients
- 1 x 227g Valcom Water chestnut slices
- 1 x bunch Kale (stems removed & finely shredded)
- 1 xBrown onion, finely diced
- 2 x cloves Garlic finely chopped
- 4cm piece Ginger, grated
- 1 tsp Chinese five spice
- 1/4 cup Soy sauce
- Gow gee pastry
Method
- Heat oil, add onion and fry until soft
- Add garlic and ginger & cook for a further 1-2 mins
- Add water chestnuts, Chinese 5 Spice, soy sauce & Kale. Cook until kale has wilted & then cool.
- Assemble dumplings: place one round of pastry on plate, add a teaspoon of filling to the middle, wet parameter of pastry lightly with water, fold over, join edges & press together. Repeat until filling is all used up.
- Steam dumpling over boiling water in bamboo steamer for 10-12 minutes.
